Labor Day Weekend

Since I have the caveman dial up it takes forever actually longer than that to download a picture which I have been trying to do since Labor day and decided that for now I will just tell you what I did.
On Friday afternoon I loaded up my car with fishing pole license and gear along with sleeping bag favorite pillow blankets stove food etc. Put my bike on the back of the car and headed north looking for a campsite. Some thought it would be impossible to find a spot and crazy of me to go by myself but hey I am not bad company.
I just wanted to go somewhere this summer and Ilove the mountains and the rivers so even if I did not find a spot I was ok.
Wala I found a great campsite and unloaded my stuff. I had decided to sleep in the car for a safer experience but bagged that cause I wanted to be under the stars and hear the roar of the river. I went on a bike ride and met a few people and animals.
I went back and built a fire , made dinner and read by the fire until 10:30 p.m. It was awesome!! Of course I had to roast marshmellows.
When I got up I made a nother fire fixed pancakes and sat by the fire to read and drink hot chocolate.
I cleaned camp and left to go down the mountain. I stopped and enjoyed the rushing river. After a few miles I stopped to put more air in my bike tires cause they were a little low and much harder to manuever.
Then down the mountain with the windows down the music up and singing at the top of my lungs.Well we all know I can't sing but it was fun anyway.
I stopped and fished. Didn't catch a thing except the gentle breeze, the smell of the pine trees and the rays of the sun. What more could I ask for.
I went back to Boise to ride on the green belt and then home.
I had to watch the BSU game a bit before I went to serve at the wedding and of course called to check on the score when I went in the kitchen. It was a terrific experience for me. I will try to post pictures later
